Scale practice
Know exactly what to play.
Music Magicians includes a structured library of scales, so students practise from the same musical information used throughout the app. When a student practises a scale, they can choose to show the notes on screen for a clear reference of exactly what to play, or close them and practise from memory.
Major scale
One octave
E♭ major
E♭ – F – G – A♭ – B♭ – C – D – E♭
E♭ major: a straightforward major scale, one note per letter of the scale.
Melodic minor
One octave
A melodic minor
Ascending
A – B – C – D – E – F♯ – G♯ – A
Descending
A – G – F – E – D – C – B – A
Melodic minor raises the 6th & 7th ascending and returns to the natural-minor form descending.
A melodic minor: the 6th and 7th are raised ascending, then return to the natural-minor form descending.
Parents and teachers can set practice tasks around specific scales. Music Magicians uses its scale library to connect each task to the student’s practice, so it understands what they were asked to work on, not just that they practised scales.
